SKY / DELIVERY PRACTICE02 / ROUTE TOPOLOGY

One control point. Your approved route.

The return path matters. Bring available bounces, complaints and unsubscribes back to the suppression and review process.

Illustrative connection design; provider access and supported return events are scoped per account.

TOOL EMAIL ENGINE / WITH SKY'S MANAGED SERVICE

Software is the tool.
Sky manages the work.

Email Engine is founder-owned software used through Sky's managed services. Standalone self-service access is not currently offered. Your engagement defines the setup, operating responsibilities and support—not an independent software subscription.

THE SOFTWARE WORKFLOW

Connect, schedule and collect.

Use an approved SMTP connection or supported provider interface, agreed sending controls and the return events available for that route. The connection method and event coverage are confirmed per account; catalog entries do not all provide the same functions.

THE HUMAN WORK

Configure, test and act.

Sky's team implements the agreed connection, verifies the available feedback path and manages approved delivery changes. You retain your audience and domain ownership, sending permissions and approval rights.

Technical connections and commercial relationships are separate. Any partner or reseller arrangement relevant to your proposal must be identified explicitly; a logo or catalog entry alone establishes neither. Provider accounts, fees and IP capacity are not included by default.

WORK AUTHORIZED HANDS-ON CONFIGURATION

Fix the agreed setting.
Verify the actual message.

Sky's in-house team can implement authentication and sending-configuration changes, not just recommend them. The work depends on your requirements, system access and approval. Each change belongs to a defined implementation scope.

SPF, DKIM & DMARC
Configure and check Sender Policy Framework, DomainKeys Identified Mail and DMARC alignment for agreed sending routes. Review affected legitimate senders before changing enforcement.
Reverse DNS / PTR
Check the sending IP's reverse and forward DNS. Changing its PTR record requires the IP owner's or provider's control; ordinary domain-DNS access may not be enough.
BIMI
Review Brand Indicators for Message Identification eligibility, authentication policy, logo assets and any provider-required certificate. Requirements differ by receiver; configuration cannot guarantee logo display or inbox placement.
SpamAssassin testing
Use the agreed SpamAssassin version and rule configuration where relevant. Its findings describe that test environment, not Gmail's or another mailbox provider's proprietary filtering score.

Required provider changes, external certificate fees and follow-up coverage are agreed separately. Google's BIMI requirements differ from Yahoo's BIMI policy.

03THE WORKFLOW

What happens after
we start looking.

01

Connect the approved route

Map SMTP authentication or a supported API, sending identity, account permissions and traffic separation.

02

Coordinate the sends

Set up the agreed campaign schedule, routing controls and return-event paths through Email Engine.

03

Test the full loop

Validate authentication, provider acceptance, bounce/complaint intake and suppression before scaling live traffic.

04A CLEAR WORKING BOUNDARY

We know which part
belongs to whom.

01 / TO START

What we need

Your chosen provider's approved account, SMTP or API capabilities, traffic categories, domain ownership and event access. Do not share passwords through the enquiry form.

02 / SKY

What we do

Configure the approved SMTP account, supported provider API or sending-server route, plus campaign controls and available bounce-to-suppression steps within the agreed scope.

03 / YOUR TEAM

What you retain

Ownership of its lists, domains and provider accounts, plus any required provider approval and usage fees.

Engagement model: Connect / milestone-based integration
05WHAT YOU LEAVE WITH
