CAN-SPAM Act information

CAN-SPAM generally applies to commercial email, including business-to-business messages. Whether a particular message is commercial or an exception applies depends on its facts. This page is informational only: it does not certify Sky or any sender, determine that every law applies, or replace legal advice.

Responsibilities for commercial email

  • Use accurate sender and routing information. “From,” “To,” “Reply-To” and related routing details must not be false or misleading and should accurately identify the initiating person or business.
  • Use a truthful subject line. The subject must not misrepresent the message's contents.
  • Identify advertising when required. A commercial message must be identified as an advertisement or solicitation unless the recipient has given prior affirmative consent.
  • Include a valid postal address. The sender must include a current valid physical postal address, such as an eligible street address or qualifying post-office box. Sky's owner-confirmed business postal address is No. 202, Verma Niwas, Dhanori, Pune 411015, India. The address must be included in covered commercial-message footers; listing it on this page does not establish that every campaign includes it.
  • Provide a clear opt-out. Give recipients a clear, conspicuous way to stop future commercial messages. The mechanism must remain available for at least 30 days after the message is sent.
  • Honor opt-outs within 10 business days. A sender must stop covered messages to the requester within that period and may not require a fee, information beyond the email address, or steps beyond sending a reply or visiting a single web page.
  • Oversee vendors. Hiring another company to send messages does not remove the sender's responsibility to comply.

What Sky's current unsubscribe route does—and does not do

Submitting Sky's website unsubscribe form updates the website newsletter subscription at submission. Requests involving historical or other Sky sending lists require separate manual handling by Sky's operations team; they are not automatically suppressed or completed by the website form. A form receipt is not confirmation that another list has been updated. Do not assume all campaign systems have been checked.

Sky has supplied an owner-confirmed valid postal address. Before making any compliance claim, Sky still needs evidence of actual campaign operations: sender and subject checks, required advertising identification, footer/address inclusion, working opt-out mechanisms, list-by-list suppression handling, and records showing opt-outs are honored in time. This page does not establish that those checks or procedures are in place.
