Sky Technologies website privacy notice
This notice covers this Sky website and its enquiry, Sky account, booking and newsletter flows. Other Sky services may be covered by a contract or a separate notice. For questions or privacy requests, write to info@skyteknologies.com or dpo@skyteknologies.com.
1. What you choose to give us
A website enquiry collects your name, email, optional company, selected topic and description of your situation. A Sky account collects your email, verification and privacy-notice acknowledgement, then any delivery profile you complete: name, company, optional website and role, sending setup, approximate volume, goal, and optional context. Do not put recipient lists or credentials in a profile. If you sign up for Sky's email-delivery notes, we separately collect your email address and a record of newsletter consent and email confirmation. Booking through Calendly takes you to its separate scheduling service, which collects information you provide there under its own privacy notice.
2. How we use it
We use enquiry details to respond and assess whether we can help. Sky account details let you verify your email, sign in and save a delivery profile. We send a transactional account-activation confirmation after successful verification and notify Sky's team when you first submit your delivery profile so a person can review it and follow up. An account alone does not subscribe you to marketing, approve a sending account or buy a service. We use newsletter details to send a confirmation request and, if you confirm, occasional delivery-related email if Sky begins publishing it. Operational logs may help protect the site, prevent misuse and troubleshoot form delivery.
The site's live activity panel counts browser tabs active in the last 90 seconds. It estimates country from network location, or from the browser's time zone and language-region setting if the network location is hidden. It stores only a hashed random browser-session identifier, estimated country code and last-seen time—not the IP address, exact time zone or browser language for that counter. The records are deleted after roughly one day. Country estimates can be wrong or unavailable; a VPN can also change them. Local country lookup includes GeoLite2 data by MaxMind, available from maxmind.com.
3. Systems and sharing
Site enquiries and confirmed subscription records are held in the website's database. Sky currently uses Resend's transactional email service on a verified Sky-owned sending subdomain for account links, newsletter confirmations and website notifications; replies reach Sky's separate mailbox. The booking link opens Calendly. These providers process information necessary to operate those flows. We do not ask you to submit recipient lists or account passwords in an initial enquiry.
If you use the optional Sky AI website guide, your question and up to six recent chat turns are sent to the site's configured AI provider to generate an answer. On Sky's independent GoDaddy hosting, that provider is Google Gemini when enabled; the preview may use the Manus model service. Asking the AI alone does not create a support ticket or notify Sky's team; its chat history remains in this browser page's memory until you refresh or close it, although provider operational logging may still apply. If you separately submit the in-chat enquiry form, Sky stores your name, email, optional company, topic, message and contact-consent record, and sends the enquiry to its team by email. Recent chat turns are included only if you separately opt in; that option is off by default. Chat enquiry consent is not newsletter consent. Do not enter passwords, API keys, recipient lists or sensitive personal information in the chat.
Random account-link and session tokens are stored only as hashes in the site database; a short-lived, host-only, secure cookie keeps you signed in. Google and Microsoft sign-in appear only when Sky activates those provider integrations; their identity identifiers are then associated with your Sky account. Neither provider login grants Sky access to your Gmail, Outlook or sending account.
4. Retention and your choices
Sky keeps the records needed to respond to requests, operate accounts, document newsletter consent and manage business or legal obligations. Expired link and session records are pruned periodically after expiry. An unverified Sky account with no new verification request for 30 days is removed during routine cleanup; verified account and profile records remain until a valid deletion request or another applicable retention obligation. Signed-in sessions expire and can be revoked by signing out. You can edit your delivery profile or ask about, correct or request deletion of your personal information through the contact details above, subject to applicable law. Use unsubscribe to stop Sky's website newsletter and request removal from existing Sky marketing lists. The website newsletter is separate from Sky's earlier sending databases; historical-list requests are passed to Sky's operations team for processing.
